CIYOTA is seeking a committed and inspiring teacher to deliver Christian Religious Education (CRE) and Divinity for O-Level and A-Level at the CIYOTA Secondary school. The ideal candidate will combine strong subject knowledge with pastoral sensitivity, fostering an inclusive and faith-affirming learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Religious Education/CRE and Divinity.
- Registration with (or eligible for registration with) the Uganda National Teachers' College/Ministry of Education.
- Minimum 2 years' secondary school teaching experience preferred; outstanding fresh graduates may apply.
- Strong knowledge of the UNEB curriculum for CRE and Divinity at UCE and UACE levels.
- Ability to teach both CRE and Divinity confidently across all secondary levels.
- Excellent communication, pastoral, classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with empathy and sensitivity in a refugee settlement context.
- Proficiency in English; Swahili or knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Personal integrity and strong moral character consistent with CIYOTA's values.
- Commitment to child protection and CIYOTA's organisational code of conduct.
